Bharathanatya Arangetram and Salangai pooja Celebration

Bharathanatyam-The treasure of Tamilnadu and the Identity of our Bharath itself. The history of Bharathanatyam is connected with the History of Human Civilization. The Expressions- Abhinaya, the Patham- Songs, the Jathi- Patterns make this Dance form , a special, a unique cultural heritage of our south India with special reference to our Tamil Nadu.

In Aditya, Students have been given effective training from their early ages by the ardent teachers of CSA department to learn the art. Students are taught with graded syllabus and assessed accordingly. Appearing for the Salangai Pooja is the initial step in learning the art from the basic to the next level and Arangetram refers to the showcase of the mastery over the techniques and styles of the dance form.

Aditya Vidyashram conducts this Grand Bharathanatyam Arangetram and Salangai Pooja for our students since 2008 by providing a complete, perfect platform to present their efficiency before the audience.

The grand and Traditional event of Aditya, “The 9 th Bharathanatya Arangetram and Salangaipooja -2016” was held on 10 th and 11 th of December 2016 in the Auditorium of Pondicherry JIPMER Campus.

On 10 th December 2016, between 6.00 pm. to 9.00 pm.7 students from Class VII & VIII have done their Arangetram in presence of the Chief Guest, the Principal of Lycee Francais, Puducherry Mr. Madrias Stephan, the Founder and the Principals of our Aditya. The Programme included the general Items like Pushpanjali, Alaripu till Thillana. The highlights of the day were the dance of Pittuku Man summandu, Bo Sham bo and Kavadi Chindu. The Participants were honoured with the Certificates.

On 11 th December 2016, 6 students have done their Salangai Pooja between 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. The inspiring programmes were, Villayatu Pillai in praise of Lord Krishna and Brahmamokate. The salangai pooja event was closed with the Honouring the students with the certificates. After Salangai Pooja, 8 students from Class VII &VIII have done their Arangetram in presence of the Chief Guest, the former Chief Minister of Puducherry, Shri. N.Rangasamy. As well with regular items of Arangetram, students’ performance about Simhavagini, and Lord Ganapathi were inspiring. The highlight of the day was the presentation of Dasavatharam- the ten avatars of Lord Krishna. All the ten avatars were beautifully presented by the students. The chief guest of the day, Shri. N Rangasamy honoured the students and delivered his address by appreciating the performance and progress of the school.

The two day celebrations were directed by the Director of CSA, Kalaimamani K.Rajamanickam and well-coordinated by the Physical Education Director Mr.Amit Patel PRO, Mr. Vigneshwaran and by the entire staff members of Aditya.
